He has most recently drafted a bill to allow for an intrastate crowdfunding exemption in Illinois which was unanimously passed by the Illinois House of Representatives and the Illinois Senate.
Mitch Carrel is a Partner in the Real Estate Practice Group. His practice focuses on representing public and private companies, land owners, developers and investors and helping them secure land use and zoning approvals, public incentives, local regulatory and siting approvals, as well as performing zoning due diligence. He also serves as the CEO & Chairman of Proxfinity, a smart technology wearable offering event analytics for event organizers with a smart badge that facilitates networking for business events.
Ken Crane is a Partner in the Corporate Practice Group. He is a deal lawyer who represents private equity, venture capital and family office–backed companies, focusing on acquisition and sale transactions. Ken gets involved at all stages in the business growth and succession process, from acquisition, capital raising, financing and growth equity transactions, strategic partnering and joint ventures, to pre-sale and succession planning.
